Following on from the success of Conference Care’s Mini-Expos in 2012, the year got off to a flying start with another Mini-Expo on Wednesday 9 January.
Events held last year proved to be so beneficial to the Conference Care team, the venues attending, and subsequently Conference Care’s clients, that the Venue Finding agency has continued with a new programme for 2013. Prior to each event, research is undertaken to ensure appropriate venues attend, and venues are asked to detail their top three unique selling points and the message they wish to deliver to the team.
The day began with a presentation on the business by Director Andrew Deakin, followed by an open forum, where venues engaged in a question and answer session, gaining a greater depth of understanding and awareness at operational level. Members of the Conference Care Team then met with the venues individually to share news, information and network.
The Mini-Expo was attended by a number of representatives from venues including:Langham Hotel, Celtic Manor, Vinetree Connections, Hedsor House, Como Hotels, Stoneleigh Park, Newbury Racecourse, Raithwaite Hall, Pentahotel Reading, Roof Gardens, Virgin Ltd Edition, Melia Hotels Ltd. Cerys Davey, Corporate Relations Manager at Celtic Manor, said ‘the event is unique in that we rarely have the opportunity to have such an honest and open discussion about how to conduct business – it’s really refreshing and helps to establish a great working partnership’
