The organiser of the annual Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS), which takes place in Leeds, 30 April, has unveiled plans for a 2013 event that is 50 per cent bigger than last year.
The CHS Group brings the fourth edition of what it claims to be the only meetings industry exhibition outside of London, to the Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United Football Club.
Exhibitors appearing at the one-day event include Visit Scotland, The North East Hoteliers Association, Warwick Conferences, Pride of Britain, Marriott, Radisson Blu, Shire Hotels and Apex Hotels.
CHS Director Sue Beverley (pictured right with co-organiser Emma Cartmel) said: “We have found demand increasing from both exhibitors and visitors which in the current climate is fantastic. We have expanded the floor space in the venue and also our hosted buyer programme this year as we have more agents than ever wanting to stay in the region and experience what it can offer”.
A strong seminar programme will be held over three stage areas: a PA Stage; the MPI Education Stage and an Improving Events Stage.
The PA Hub will feature a number of high profile PA’s, including Helena Bonham Carter’s PA.
The UK chapter of MPI will run the Educational Stage and features topics such as the future of meetings, strategic meetings management and CSR practical applications.
The third stage is the Improving Events stage and will feature a piece on ‘The importance of Your Personal Brand’.
CHS13 will also have a creative quarter. Themed around a Japanese garden, Chilled Events will create the sights and sounds of a traditional Japanese garden, complete with Geisha girls and sushi demonstrations.
A Concierge Service has also been introduced, designed to ensure that everyone who visits the show has a tailor made experience.
