Central Hall Westminster offers free Wi-Fi with MaxWifi partnership

Central Hall Westminster has joined the ranks of an ever-growing list of conference and exhibition venues offering its Wi-Fi services free of charge to organisers, exhibitors, delegates and visitors.

The central London venue engaged internet suplier, MaxWifi, to install the latest Meraki equipment which offers connectivity to devices which communicate on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz radio frequencies enabling end users to experience much better and consistent connectivity throughout its 22 meeting and events rooms.

Central Hall Westminster now offers free open access Wi-Fi to check emails and event content as well as in-house IT support and management.

Central Hall says it has embraced the white paper launched by the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO), which aims to put an end to Wi-Fi fees for delegates by encouraging venues to offer free access.

As Central Hall Westminster believes Wi-Fi provision to be a key service requirement, the venue took the competitive move and offers free access to all stakeholders.

“There can be absolutely no compromise when it comes to internet technology; most attendees to the exhibitions have either two or three devices each, all of which need Wi-Fi connection,  and we can now offer free Wi-Fi to delegates at a basic connection rate,” says Central Hall’s Managing Director, Paul Southern. “With the option for clients to broadcast their own SSID and have customised advertising splash pages we are able to fully cater to all client requirements.”

The Grade II listed building can cater up to 2,160 delegates.
