The Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) has made two appointments, with Carmel Dennis and Gaelle Connolly brought in to give full secretariat and administrative support for the Partnership.
They replace Jenny Nathan who will continue to work on event management for VisitBritain and who has over the last couple of years provided some support to the Partnership.
Responsible for managing and organising the Partnership’s meetings, Dennis (pictured) has been in the travel tourism industry for over 20 years, and was previously Marketing Director for the Heart of England Tourist Board and Conference Officer at the University of Liverpool.
Providing administrative and financial support, Connolly comes from a background in tourism and has been working as a researcher for TEAM Tourism consulting for over 10 years as webmaster and coordinator of all communications and associate meetings.
Michael Hirst, Chairman of the BVEP, says: “Carmel and Gaelle have been managing the Partnership’s website over the last 10 years, so they are both very familiar with our work and their extended support will offer us stability and reliability with our activity going forward. Their in-depth understanding of the sector and research work can also be put to good use on future projects”.
Dennis and Connolly have also been working together on a project for the European Travel Commission that contains data on internet use worldwide, specifically for travel and tourism purposes.
