PR and marketing company Davies Tanner celebrated its summer party and the official launch of Smart by Angela last night (12 September) at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
Smart by Angela is a new range of specially designed menus and service concepts devised by Smart Hospitality in conjunction with Creative Director Angela Hartnett and her team. This new offering to the market was born out of the Whitechapel Gallery partnership.
At the party guests were treated to peach bellinis, crab tartlets, beef carpaccio and celeriac remoulade, smoked chicken Caesar salad, and charcuterie, smoked fish and cheese stations. Chocolate and honeycomb shots and summer puddings were offered for desert.
Smart Hospitality caters for over 100,000 guests annually and has hosted royalty, global leaders, athletes and celebrities.
Smart Hospitality provided the catering at the Olympic Hospitality Centre at the London 2012 Games, where 132 Chefs, 14 of which from Michelin Starred restaurants, under the control of Hartnett, prepared over 900 individual menu items.
“It was a formidable task trying to deliver such a high level of individual service to so many guests each day, but the team showed the world that event catering in Britain can still be creative and exciting as well as practical,” said Hartnett.
