The nomination process for the Meetings Industry Association (MIA)-List 2013 has officially begun.
Now in its third year, the MIA-List was created by the MIA to recognise people from all sectors and levels of the industry whose passion, hard work, commitment and enthusiasm is an inspiration to the people who work with them.
This year, the MIA-List is supported by, and in partnership with, The Meetings Show UK, the new event for the meetings industry organised by Centaur Exhibitions taking place from 9 to 11 July, 2013 at Olympia London.
Jane Longhurst, MIA Chief Executive, said, “The MIA-List is an opportunity to recognise those people within the meetings and events industry whose approach to their profession is outstanding. We’re seeking to acknowledge and celebrate those people that make the UK meetings industry among the best in the world and hold them up as examples of excellence. The MIA-List furthers our commitment to raising standards in the meetings industry and complements AIM, the industry standard.”
Steve Knight, The Meetings Show UK Event Director, said: “The Meetings Show UK is excited to be creating yet another important and exclusive partnership, particularly with such a high level and focused association.
“Recognition of the true professionals working in our industry is of paramount importance. The MIA-List occupies a unique space in the industry by championing individuals and acknowledging expertise and excellence.”
There is no charge to make a nomination for the MIA-List and people can nominate as many people as they like, as long as they do not nominate themselves. The deadline for entries is 31 October.
