PCMA Global Corporate Summit opens in Glasgow

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Global Corporate Summit has opened in Glasgow.
The event, at the Glasgow SECC 22-25 July, is invite only and will attract buyers with a total estimated meetings and event spend of over $1bn, including senior meeting planners and executives from McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nike and Cisco.
The keynote will be an address, followed by dialogue with participants, from Frans Johansson, the author of the book, The Medici Effect, looking to the future and exploring the optimal path forward. Delegates will also be treated to ‘Deep-dive’ sessions covering aspects of global meetings leadership.
There will be a presentation on Strategic Meetings Management (SMMP), an in depth study including discussion on different levels and philosophies from around the world, as well as the challenges for globalising programmes.
