Confex to enhance association day programme

International Confex has pledged to boost attendance at its Association Day programme for the 2013 edition of the event, by 50 per cent.

The show’s Event Manager, James Samuel, said: “The 2012 Association Day programme saw more than 100 association representatives in attendance; however for 2013 we have pledged to provide a further enhanced programme targeting 150 of the top UK and international associations.”

Combining exclusive networking opportunities, practical workshops and an inspirational speaker line-up, the 2012 Association Day programme saw association representatives  from a number of varied organisations including the Institute of Travel and Meetings, Royal Society of Medicine, The Law Society, Energy Institute, and the Chamber of Commerce.

“The Association Day programme provides the opportunity to enrich the professional lives of association planners. At the same time our exhibitors are presented with a fantastic opportunity to engage with this hugely important sector,” added Samuel.

Steven Yeats, Chief Executive Officer of the British Cardiovascular Society, said: “Association Day at International Confex is an essential networking opportunity for the sector. The meet the expert sessions consist of a small intimate discussion group, where a great deal of information is shared between similar bodies.

“As an association for cardiovascular healthcare professionals, it was important to understand how to increase our sponsorship opportunities in the current economic downturn.”

International Confex, organised by UBM, returns to Excel London 19-21 March 2013.
