Aintree invests £450,000 in Princess Royal Stand refurbishment

Aintree Racecourse has invested £450,000 in the re-development of its Princess Royal Stand, creating a new lounge and event space, including a new champagne bar.

The redevelopment has seen the existing bar area of the Princess Royal stand doubled in space to 530sqm. The new facilities include a 16m long main bar, lounge area, sea food bar and curved champagne bar, all offering views over the racecourse.

“The development of the Princess Royal Stand will give us a more extensive leisure space, with improved facilities both for race goers and for the many events we hold at the racecourse, from conferences to weddings,” Conference and Events Manager at Aintree Racecourse, Debbie Slee, said.

“The redevelopment of the Princess Royal Stand follows on from our recent £35m investment to create two new grandstands and the Aintree International Equestrian Centre.

The new stands enable the venue to accommodate up to 600 delegates and the equestrian centre offers 3,700sqm of exhibition space.
