The Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London hosted an event for designer Rhea Thierstein as part of the wide covered charity Big Egg Hunt.
The ‘Faberg Big Egg Hunt’, which began on 22 February, is the world’s largest egg hunt and features over 200 eggs designed and decorated by some of the world’s leading artists, aiming to raise 2m for the ‘Action for Children’ and ‘Elephant Family’ charities.
Thierstein took inspiration for the design of the egg at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel from the destruction of the environment. The little Blue Tit, Caeruleus, on top of the egg is the element of optimism. Rhea’s hope is that through sensitivity and awareness we can nurture our habitat and environment back to health.
Rhea’s egg will be on display at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel until the Easter weekend.
