Gregynog Hall, the conference and event venue set in in parkland near Newtown, in Wales, is creating new ground floor conference space as part of its ongoing £300,000 investment programme.
Work is due to start in mid-April on the project which will also create new en-suite family bedrooms.
Contractor Shaylors Special Projects is to start the building work in April at the property which is owned by the University of Wales.
Conference facilities at the Grade I listed building and gardens recently received Accredited in Meetings (AIM) status by the Meetings Industry Association.
Venue Director Karen Armstrong reports that Gregynog Hall is preparing for busy May to September with conferences and increased weddings.
Gregynog has also launched a programme of special events for 2012, including music and theatre festivals and events to celebrate Easter, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and a garden festival.
