Residential apartments group, Citadines, launched the latest of its series of upgrades across its international properties at Trafalgar Square.
The event kicked off with guests having the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with athletes in Team GB, who will be competing in the London 2012 Olympic Games. There were approximately 140 guests from companies such as Accenture, PwC, the Australian High Commission, Credit Agricole, Sadlers Wells Theatre Company and BNY Mellon.
The Ascott Limited, which owns and operates the Citadines collection, is the world’s largest serviced residence owner-operator. The company’s refurbishment programme renovated and upgraded eight Citadines Art’hotels and also upgraded two Apart’hotels to the new Prestige category, bringing the total number of Citadines Prestige properties across London and Paris to six. In addition, Citadines introduced the well-received ‘Club Apartment’ that provides enhanced comfort, greater space, increased privacy and inclusive hotel-style services (such as breakfast, daily housekeeping).
In 2012, Ascott will continue with its refurbishment programme for seven more properties: two in Paris, two in Lyon and one each in Cannes, Brussels and Barcelona.
Looking ahead, Ascott will further strengthen its leadership position aiming to increase its global network from circa 30,000 apartment units currently to 40,000 by 2015.
