Beyond 2012 seminar to launch at International Outdoor Event Expo

The International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) will outline predications for ‘Beyond 2012’ as part of the seminar and education programme at the inaugural exhibition taking place at Excel London this week.

On 6 March, David Grevemberg, CEO of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games committee, will join a panel which discusses where to go next when the excitement of this year is over, presenting agencies with opportunities to maintain increased business levels.

Mark Howell, Associate Director, 2012 at London and Partners and Jon Tibbs, CEO, Jon Tibbs Associates, will be speaking alongside Grevemberg in the session, chaired by Kevin Roberts, Editor of Sport Business magazine.

IOEX Sales Director Mark Gordon said: “David is a highly experienced professional having already played a pivotal part in the Vancouver Games. He brings a significant overview to the panel about the sports industry as a whole. 2014 is the next major global event to be held in the UK and his role includes not only ensuring that all aspects of Games planning are being delivered, but also Glasgow as a city, dispelling any preconceptions that already exist.”

‘Beyond 2012’ will take place on 6 March at 3pm in the main stage seminar theatre.
