ACC Liverpool has announced it will be hosting 3,000 delegates over three teaching conferences secured for the city in 2013.
The venue will host three events within days of each other next spring, including the Association of Teachers and Lecturers’ conference, who return for a third time to ACC Liverpool, 24-27 March, with 600 delegates.
Two days later, the timetable brings the National Union of Teachers and an estimated 1,250 delegates for its annual five-day conference.
Karen Handley, Principle Officer for Resource Management at the NUT, and the largest teaching union’s conference organiser, said: “Location and venue are imperative to a successful conference and we were so pleased with our last visit to ACC Liverpool in 2010 that we were keen to come back.”
The third conference is 8-12 April 2013, for 1,200 delegates from the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL).
Director of Sales at ACC Liverpool, Kerrin MacPhie, added: “The fact that we are able to comfortably host a succession of teaching and educational conferences such as these highlights our versatility and flexibility as a venue, as well as our continuing strength and appeal in one of the major conferencing sectors. All three events will bring fantastic economic benefits to the city as we welcome 3,050 delegates, including many international members visiting Liverpool for the first time.”
