Ready, steady, Conference and Hospitality Show

Three celebrity chefs from the North of England will unite for the first time to demonstrate their culinary skills at the 2012 Conference and Hospitality Show in Leeds, 26 April.

Event Management 360, organiser of the show which this year moves to The Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United Football Club, says the chefs have been invited to demonstrate to meeting and event planners how to make their event catering stand out from the crowd.

James Martin, Kenny Atkinson and Jaswant Mehra will cook up demonstrations throughout the day.

Yorkshire born Martin is best known for his weekly BBC1 show, Saturday Kitchen and in 2011 he opened The Leeds Kitchen in Clarence Dock.

Jaswant Mehra is the Chef de Partie for Radisson Blu in Leeds and appeared in 300 episodes on the Indian Channel ETV (Entertainment Television).

Kenny Atkinson manages a 3AA Rosette restaurant in the five-star Rockcliffe Hall Hotel, County Durham, and won fame with his award winning mackerel dish on TV’s Great British Menu.

Event Director Emma Cartmell said: “We are thrilled to have all three chefs on board. They will certainly add flair and excitement to the day.”

The move to Elland Road, said Cartmell, resulted in over 80 per cent of the show floor space being sold within six weeks of the move being announced.

She said she moved the show from the Royal Armouries, Leeds, due to increased demand from exhibitors.

“As the only show of its type outside of London, we have found increasing demand from across the UK not just the North. Everything will now be under one roof at the Centenary Pavilion including popular features such as the seminar programme and Conference Leeds’ Perfect Lunch.”
