Conferencing and events business at The Norfolk Pavilion at the South of England Showground has been given a new lease of life with a refurbishment programme.
As well as new lighting and flooring, improvements in corporate facilities include free Wi-Fi for anyone using the building.
Fiona Malcolm, Commercial and Marketing Director at the Showground says: “This refurbishment, set to be finished by 22 March 2012, is just the start of our plans for developing the building as an attractive, flexible, and fit for purpose venue for a wide range of corporate and private events and functions.”
Malcolm expects the investment to lead to a 15 per cent increase in bookings over the remaining nine months of this year, and 20 per cent in the following year.
“We have refreshed and updated the facility so that it meets current day expectations for both corporate and private event usage,” Malcolm adds. “We have also invested in the kitchens, updating equipment to allow the new caterers to develop our dining offer to an exciting new level.”
The venue was recently shortlisted as Wedding Venue of the Year in Sussex Weddings Magazine. It also recently held the Rutherford Agriculture Conference, housing over 100 local farmers.
The Norfolk Pavilion is set in 150 acres of Sussex countryside, and offers free parking facilities.
