Hotel La Tour, the new 24m hotel in Birmingham City Centre, will open its doors to meetings business on Monday 26 March.
The Albert Street venue, which has 174 bedrooms and suites, is creating 100 jobs and is the first development underway in the city’s Eastside district.
Managing Director of Hotel La Tour, Jane Schofield, said: “We have already secured more than 500,000 in advanced sales for our dedicated business and conference floor and have just opened bookings for our bedrooms and restaurant.”
Aalto Restaurant, featuring modern classics inspired by Michelin-starred Chef Marcus Wareing, will open to non-residents for the first time on 30 March.
Head Chef Alex Penhaligon, who is planning menus with Marcus Wareing and his team, said: “Building a new restaurant concept is a really privileged position to be in – we’ve got a very dramatic building in the city centre and it’s important that our menus live up to this vibrant setting.”
The brasserie style eatery has 90 covers plus a Chef’s Table, where a party of ten can get up close and personal with the kitchen team, plus a private dining room.”
Hotel La Tour’s dedicated business and events floor is accessed via a private staircase and lifts. There are nine separate conference and meeting spaces, the largest accommodating up to 120 delegates. There is also a business lounge.
