Event Production Awards recognise Etherlive and Arena Group

The Event Production Awards claimed over 500 guests at Hilton Park Lane, 1 February.
Comedian Mark Steel hosted the evening and Michelle Lewis, awards organiser, said, “A sell out success on our first awards clearly shows a gap in the market and we are indebted to our sponsors and everyone who put themselves forward for an award.”
Etherlive scooped the Best Communications Company award for its championing of new technologies in the live events market and being the first to offer high density public Wi-Fi.
Etherlive also sealed a contract for the London Media Centre during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
There were awards in 19 categories, with Seating Supplier of the Year and Structure Company of the Year both going to Arena Group.
The Event Production Show Supreme Award went to Star Events Group.

The Event Production Awards were organized during this week’s Event Production Show at Olympia’s West Hall. Organisers Ocean Media claimed it had 250 exhibitors, with 40 exhibiting at its co-located inaugural UK Venue Show.
