Museums Association Conference to return to ACC Liverpool

Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) Liverpool has announced the return of the Museums Association’s annual conference next year.

The event will be in Liverpool for the second time on November 11-12 2013, bringing along 500 delegates, five years on from the last time the association held its conference at ACC Liverpool, back in October 2008.

This year’s event will be at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 8 November.

“We had a really successful conference at ACC Liverpool four years ago and our delegates and visitors will be keen to see the new Museum of Liverpool, which opened last year,” said Sharon Heal, head of publications and events at the Museums Association.

Kerrin MacPhie, Director of Sales at ACC Liverpool, said the Museums Association was impressed by the venue’s proximity to the city’s museums when delegates first visited in 2008.

“Since then Liverpool has continued to build on this heritage with the opening of the Museum of Liverpool and the relocation of the Open Eye Gallery, all just a stone’s throw from ACC Liverpool,” she said.
