Kent Event Centre expands team to cope with demand

The Kent Event Centre has taken on two additional staff to cope with extra business resulting from recent expansion.

Two
new staff have joined the venue at Detling, near Maidstone recently,
one in the sales team and another responsible for helping to maintain
the grounds and facilities.

The Kent Event Centre hosts
large-scale trade fairs, conferences, dinner
dances and weddings. There are also six meeting rooms, and free
parking for 30,000 vehicles.

New
events added to this year’s calendar include a careers event, a children’s party
for a major regional charity, HSE event and a military fair.

Last
year the venue opened the Clive Emson Conference Centre, at 1,700sqm.
The venue also has the Kent Pavilion (3,000 sqm), John Hendry Pavilion
(1,750sqm), and the Astor Pavilion (151 sqm).
“By investing in
facilities and maintaining a clear focus on customer service, we are
enjoying a very successful start to 2012,” said Events Manager Alison
Wallington.
