ITM North raises £6,500 for HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust

Members at the annual gala dinner of the North region of the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM North) have raised over £6,500 for the HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust, which takes children with disabilities, social and emotional needs to Lourdes in the South of France.
Last week The Lowry hotel hosted 200 ITM North members, the local business community and the nominated charity, for a Casablanca-themed party in Ricks Café American.
“Not only was it a great night and networking opportunity, but we’ve also raised enough money to send eight young people to Lourdes and I know that they will have a wonderful time and a life-changing experience – a great achievement and everyone who attended should be proud,” said Danny Cockton of the ITM North team.
ITM, previously the Institute of Travel Management, was established over 50 years ago to promote knowledge, networks and opportunities within the business travel sector. The association presently represents 1,000 professional buyers and suppliers with a travel and meetings spend in excess of £34bn per annum and over 50 per cent of the FTSE 100 companies.
