CRN employs online training to keep up skills

Global AV and interpretation equipment supplier group Congress Rental Network (CRN) is employing new online technology to retain skills across its employee base.

The dealer group said offering online-based training via regular webinars allows staff to improve their skills in all areas for a minimal cost. As economic uncertainty continues around the world, CRN said it was important to ensure staff at all of its member companies can benefit from ongoing training without incurring the cost penalty of sending people to Bosch headquarters in Holland.

The group recently introduced a schedule to ensure all technicians are re-accredited every six months. CRN has more than 1,100 staff across its network spanning 39 countries and claims to be the largest provider of technical services to the event industry including AV and simultaneous interpretation (SI) solutions.  

“It is critical staff at member companies are trained to the highest standards in order that we continue to provide a first-class service,” CRM Chairman and Spokesperson for PC Podimatas in Greece Panagiotis Podimatas said.

“The CRN has a history and reputation as the worldwide voice of SI and AV expertise and we are determined to maintain that position.”
