Nexus reorganises in attempt to bag more global sales

Cheshire and China-based manufacturer of environmentally friendly conference bags, Nexus Collections, has reorganised its UK operations to allow MD Nick Jones to focus on the global growth of the business.

Jones will now focus on developing new markets and distributors internationally in an attempt to fully utilize production capacity at the company’s factory in southern China.

This shift in role has allowed Jacqui Guthrie to take on full responsibility for the UK operation, which includes the sale and delivery of 500,000 conference bags per year, as well as pens, lanyards, conference folders, pads and USB sticks.

Tish Butcher will step up to take responsibility for UK sales.

“The creation of our own fair trade and environmentally responsible factory in China has been a huge success,” says Jones, “in particular our green range of bags have grown substantially in popularity over the last three years.  Currently the factory is running at approximately 60 per cent of capacity. By focusing on new business directly from the factory to distributors around the globe, we hope to fill the extra 40 per cent in the next 12 months before expanding our operation in China even further.”
