MOBO’s returnes to the SECC

The MOBO Awards returned to Glasgow for the second year running with a host of top UK and international urban acts taking to the stage.

Taking place at the SECC, the star-studded ceremony included JLS and Tinie Tempah. Singers Alesha Dixon and Jason Derulo hosted Awards, which featured top names including Boyz II Men, soul sensation Jessie J, UK Dubstep star Katy B, UK garage MC Ms Dynamite, grime star Wretch 32 and American R’n’B princess Alexis Jordan.

British rapper Professor Green and Scottish singer-songwriter and Best Newcomer nominee Emeli Sandé gave exclusive performances with their new track Read All About It, which is released next month. MOBO also paid respect to the late Amy Winehouse with a special tribute led by Amy’s goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield.

MOBO CEO and founder Kanya King commented before the event: “There’s already an incredible buzz in Glasgow with the MOBO Awards almost on us. It’s lining up to be a fantastic night and we’re thrilled that we’re now able to offer even more fans the chance to come along, be part of the party and witness some unforgettable performances”.
