Joe Manby wins major national medical conference

Harrogate-based exhibition and conference service provider, Joe Manby, has won the contract to provide all the services, including the shell scheme, electrics, graphics and special feature areas, for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Annual Conference.
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is responsible for training and examining paediatricians in the UK. The College has over 12,000 members in the UK and abroad and sets standards for professional and postgraduate medical education.
The college’s three-day annual conference is the UK’s largest paediatrics and child healthcare event. Taking place at the SECC in Glasgow in May 2012, it not only marks the event’s major transition from a university venue to a larger, commercial venue but is also the first annual conference held by the college in Scotland.
The conference is a flagship event for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and is expected to exceed 2010 delegate numbers of 1,500.
“The Royal College liked the fact that we are a family-run business and passionate about what we do,” said Andrew Manby said. “Another plus was our successful track record in creating top notch-events for major national medical charities, such as the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP), coupled with a wholehearted endorsement by the SECC team.”
Joe Manby boasts an annual show portfolio of 60 events in over 20 UK venues and was established in 1974 by Joe Manby, and now run by his sons Andrew and Richard
