Following Lancashire County Cricket Club winning the Championship
for the first time since 1934, the stadium’s conference venue catering
staff at The Point have followed up with a team win: a Healthy Stadia Plaque of Recognition.
The presentation of the plaque took place at the first-ever floodlit England v India T20 match at Old Trafford.
Peter Ash, Sales Manager at The Point said: “The healthier and sustainable eating option initiatives our catering team has created for The Point has helped towards the stadium being awarded this Healthy Stadia Plaque. We are especially proud as this is the first to go to a stadium operated by a county cricket club.”
Lancashire Chief Executive Jim Cumbes. said: “I am delighted that Old Trafford is being recognised as a healthy stadium. We have made huge strides in these areas in the last couple of years and receiving the award illustrates the club’s commitment to promoting key health messages to visitors to Old Trafford as well as our local community.”
