FECAVA EuroCongress 2013 to be held in Dublin

Dublin-based professional conference organiser Keynote PCO has won its bid to organise the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Association’s (FECEAVA) annual EuroCongress in October 2013.

Veterinary Ireland and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) will be jointly hosting the EuroCongress at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD). The event is expected to attract 1,500 delegates from Europe and North America and is the first time the Veterinary Ireland and BSAVA have joined forces to co-host an event.

Keynote PCO worked with the Irish committees to secure this international congress.

“We’re delighted FECAVA has recognised both the efforts of the local committee and the attractiveness of Dublin as a destination in awarding this very high-profile congress to Ireland,” said Managing Director of Keynote PCO Noel Mitchell.

A wide-ranging programme of lectures and practical sessions are being organised for veterinary surgeons and nurses working in small animal practice.

“FECAVA is pleased to award this prestigious event to Ireland to further develop the veterinary profession there,” said Board Member of FECAVA Andrew Byrne.

“BSAVA Congress is our flagship and we continue to work very hard to make sure that our own annual event evolves year-on-year,” continued President of BSAVA Andrew Ash. “The opportunity to extend that even further and to work with our colleagues in Veterinary Ireland and FECAVA is a real privilege.”
