Technology supplier Etherlive has signed up to the Event Suppliers and Services Association (ESSA) and its Wi-Fi Working Group.
Etherlive said it hoped to become to become a major contributor to the recently formed Wi-Fi working group, which is tasked with helping improve wireless connectivity at exhibitions. It is made up of representatives from ESSA, the AEV and the AEO including Haymarket and Reed Exhibitions, The NEC, Earls Court and Olympia, Excel London and seven contractors.
Etherlive MD Chris Green was pleased to take up a problem-solving role at the forefront of UK live events. The Wi-Fi Working Group will conduct an ongoing evaluation of how connectivity can be delivered to events in a financially sustainable manner while enhancing the user experience.
“We pride ourselves in being able to translate the latest emerging technologies into workable solutions and our role in conjunction with other forum partners at ESSA will allow us to closely track the changing requirements of today’s venues and suppliers,” Green said.
Etherlive is also a member of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO) and the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) and maintains partnerships with outdoor festivals such as WOMAD, Greenman and Cornbury.
