UVL, ISES and London & Partners partner for Olympic legacy forum

London venue consortium, Unique Venues of London (UVL), has teamed up with citywide convention bureau London & Partners and the International Special Event Society (ISES) to run a panel debate on the Olympic Games legacy.

Entitled Beyond 2012: London’s Events Legacy, the workshop will feature a range of topics including the future of the Olympic Park, the major event opportunities for London and future prospects for the city as a whole post 2012.

Taking place at BFI IMAX on 19 September, the event will consist of a panel of industry and Olympic Games experts including Director of Events and Programming at the Olympic Park Legacy Company, Clive Little; Head of Major Events at London & Partners, Iain Edmondson; and Director of Marketing and 2012 communications for the Greater London Authority, Dan Ritterband.

The event will be moderated by MD of the Davies Tanner agency, Robert Wright.

“With 73 venues we feel it is important, as an organisation, to facilitate workshops and events which resonate with our members,” said Head of Commercial Programming at the Royal Opera House and Acting Chairman of UVL, Moya Maxwell. “As such, Beyond 2012 allows us to look at opportunities for the present and future for events spaces in the capital and the city as a whole.”
