BTM Director of VIP Hosted Buyer Programme Holdcroft steps down

Loraine Holdcroft has stepped down as Business Travel Market’s (BTM) Director of VIP Hosted Buyer Programme after three years in the position.
Business Travel Market claims to be Europe’s largest business travel conference and exhibition and is held annually at Excel London in June.
Ex-Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) and Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) Executive Director Holdcroft has been part of theBTM team from the beginning, having been responsible for implementing what BTM claims was the first fully-hosted buyer programme in the corporate travel industry back in 2009.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my work at BTM and seeing it grow year on year,” said Holdcroft. “However, I feel that it is now time to move on to new projects, both personal and professional. My husband Geoff and I have recently relocated from North East England to Northamptonshire, so what better time could there be to review both lifestyle and workload.
“It’s been a fascinating challenge to have had the opportunity to start the programme from scratch and to work with such a fantastic and committed team. I feel a real sense of satisfaction at leaving BTM with a proven appointments system and VIP Hosted Buyer Programme in place.”
BTM’s Event Director, Paul Robin, said: “Holdcroft’s professionalism, experience and dedication to the task ensured she did a great job for BTM; she leaves at a time when BTM has enjoyed a record number of hosted buyers from a record number of countries. She will be missed by all of us that worked with her but we wish her well in her semi-retirement.”
BTM said it is currently in the process of recruiting her successor in this role and will make an announcement in due course.
