Meetings out at sea at Spitbank Fort

An unusual military building in the middle of the sea has been restored to provide a destination for meetings. Spitbank Fort, situated a mile offshore from Portsmouth Harbour and only accessible by boat, has been transformed into a meeting venue with a range of event spaces and breakout rooms.
The property, which can accommodate 50 guests in its rooftop function space overlooking Portsmouth Harbour, comes complete with two private cinema rooms, private dining rooms, Champagne bar, wine cellar and cigar room, three fully equipped games rooms and a library.
It also offers eight double bedrooms each with sea views, as well as a gym, several sun decks, an open air hot pool, sauna, fire pit and rooftop changing rooms.
The venue is operated by Amazing Retreats, a division of Clarenco LLP, which was launched in 2010 and offers a portfolio of 12 diverse and inspirational exclusive use properties including the flagship fifteenth century Scottish castle Ackergill Tower, the fourteenth century Morley Old Hall and the modern mill house conversion, Tempsford Mill in Bedford.
