Sticky Wicket 5 ready for 27 July

Dubbed the “Stickiest Wicket ever”, the fifth edition of the event industry’s annual cricket outing is set for 27 July 2011.
Once again, the chance to network, drink and have a general catch up will start at 11am at The Hub, Regent’s Park and is expected to go on until late. Sticky Wicket is free to attend and all money raised by activities on the day will go towards The Lord’s Taverners charity. Last year’s efforts raised £21,000.
For the first time in the history of the event, a staggering 12 teams have signed up to play for the coveted trophy and its organisers are hoping for plenty of “familiar faces” to cheers them on.
The after party is set for The Lord’s Tavern in Lord’s Cricket Ground from 6.30pm.
The Sticky Wicket organisers are also supporting LV= SOS Kit Aid. They are asking for the industry to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged youngsters in the UK and overseas by recycling and donating unwanted clean rugby and cricket kit at Sticky Wicket V.
