LOCOG CEO Paul Deighton to speak at Business Travel Market

The CEO of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), Paul Deighton, has been confirmed as keynote speaker at this year’s Business Travel Market (BTM).
Now in its third year, BTM, will take place 22 and 23 June at Excel London and its organiser expects to attract 500 hosted buyers and exhibitors from Europe.
“It was a real coup to secure a speaker of the calibre of Paul Deighton for this year’s BTM,” said BTM’s Event Director, Paul Robin. “I’m also looking forward to hearing the questions which our attendees will have about the Olympics.”
Deighton was appointed CEO of LOCOG in April 2006 and is responsible for leading the LOCOG team to deliver all operational plans according to the terms of the Host City Contract signed with the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee and also takes responsibility for raising the £2bn funding required from the private sector.
Prior to joining LOCOG, Deighton was European Chief Operating Officer for Goldman Sachs.
Deighton will be speaking on day two of the show.
