Jacquie Rogers to leave ACC Liverpool in management restructure

BT Convention Centre’s GM Jacquie Rogers is to leave the venue after five years as part of a management restructure.

Driven by the development of the £40m event and exhibition complex due for completion in 2014, the new management structure includes the replacement of the three current General Manager positions with two new posts which will report directly to the Chief Executive.  In addition to the new Commercial Director and Operations Director roles, a new Project Director position has also been created to oversee the venue’s expansion plans.

Tim Banfield has been appointed to the position of Commercial Director and Phil Pickett to the position of Project Director, Exhibition and Event Facilities. Prior to his new role, Tim Banfield was General Manager with Echo Arena and Phil Pickett was General Manager of Operations across the entire ACC Liverpool site. The new Operations Director role is yet to be filled.

ACC Liverpool Chief Executive Bob Prattey said: “These are exciting times for ACC Liverpool and our organisational changes will aid the delivery of our customer based objectives inherent in our revised Strategic Business Plan.”

“I would like to thank Jacquie for her commitment to the company’s success since her appointment in 2006.  She has been instrumental in helping to build the business into one of the most successful convention centres in the UK and has helped put Liverpool on the map for business tourism.  Jacquie leaves behind an exceptionally strong team and she can look back on her time at ACC Liverpool with real pride, safe in the knowledge that the company’s future is in good hands. We wish Jacquie well for the future.”

Rogers said: “I have had a great five years at ACC Liverpool and am extremely proud of my achievements and those of my team.  It has been hugely gratifying to help drive Liverpool as a destination for business tourism, the results of which will continue to be seen in the years to come. The announcement of the restructure at ACC Liverpool has come at a time when I am ready to explore new professional opportunities within the industry.”
