VisitScotland appoints Kerry Watson for associations role

National tourism bureau VisitScotland has appointed Kerry Watson to the role of Marketing Manager for Associations, within its Business Tourism Unit.
Formerly the Regional Business Tourism Manager in Central Scotland, Watson’s new role will include increasing convention business to Scotland both from within the UK and internationally.
“I love promoting Scotland to national and international clients through our range of events from Scotland Means Business and our Ambassador programme, to exhibitions such as IMEX,” said Watson.
According to VisitScotland, 23 per cent of all international association conference held in the UK are hosted by Scotland. Research from VisitBritain has highlighted that Edinburgh and Glasgow are both in the top three most price-competitive European destinations for professional association conferences.
