Attractions operator Merlin Entertainments Group’s events arm, Merlin Events, has released 200 tickets for the inaugural launch cruise aboard its newest events venue, The Barracuda.
On Tuesday 24 May guests will board Art Deco-inspired Barracuda at the London Eye Pier for the launch voyage, themed as a contemporary vision of the 20s and 30s with Rhubarb Food Design providing ’surrealist’ canapés.
“We want to connect and engage with event organisers through various media to gain a better understanding of how client demands are changing,” said Michael Aldridge, General Manager of Merlin Events London. “The use of social media has grown rapidly in the industry and we are using LinkedIn to connect with industry professionals and extend an invitation to the launch of our new venue, The Barracuda.
The ‘Barracuda Bounty’ event is open to all connections on the Merlin Events LinkedIn account. As spaces are limited, connections will be selected at random.”
Anyone who would like to attend the launch has been asked to connect with Merlin Events on the LinkedIn page and each week an editor from an industry title will be asked to draw numbers at random with names being released on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
The Barracuda can accommodate up to 230 guests reception style or 140 seated for dinner.
