ACC Liverpool showcases new venue plans at IMEX

ACC Liverpool will be sharing details about its forthcoming exhibition and events venue at IMEX 2011 in Frankfurt this week.
In March, the venue secured £40m to build an 8,100sqm events facility,
which will sit alongside the EchoArena and BT Convention Centre. The new
space will be divided into three interconnected, pillar-free halls of
2,700sqm each and is scheduled to open in September 2014.
According to ACC, developing Liverpool’s connectivity to Europe’s
transport infrastructure will also be a major component of its IMEX
strategy. The venue claimed initiatives such as its partnership with
Virgin trains to provide a seamless rail booking service for delegates
could be attributed to ACC Liverpool’s success.
Liverpool airport has also grown to accommodate 70 UK and European
destinations including KLM flights four times daily between Liverpool
and Amsterdam.
To help drive its expanding events portfolio, ACC Liverpool has expanded
its sales team as well as appointed a new Business Development Manager,
Arwen Bate, and a Social Media Executive, Hugh Roberts.
