East Coast stays on track with Inntel

Train operator East Coast Main Line has extended its contract with Inntel for the provision of accommodation and MICE services.

East Coast originally contracted with Inntel in November 2009, when the operator assumed responsibility for the rail services formerly operated by National Express East Coast under the Government’s Directly Operated Railways initiative. That contract has now been extended for a further year.

East Coast’s Head of Purchasing and Contracts Dave Edwards said: “East Coast has worked with Inntel for a number of years and been impressed with their excellent customer service, flexibility and knowledge of our business. Inntel take the stress away of booking hotels and venues, and this is why we have extended the current contract”.

Inntel’s Managing Director Douglas O’Neill said, “When a client extends a contract it is always particularly pleasing, as it’s an endorsement of our track record with them. Inntel has an enormous amount of experience of handling the requirements of a large number of train operating companies, and we look forward to working with East Coast to deliver even greater savings and efficiencies.”
