The London City Selection (LCS) has celebrated its first birthday at International Confex.
The marketing consortium of London city venues, focused on developing relationships and increasing business in the City of London was launched on the second day of International Confex 2010. Since then it has grown to 22 members and achieved more than £1m worth of new business through referrals between the members.
The LCS, which is a Barbican-led initiative, has been chaired and driven forward during the last year by Samme Allen, Business Development Manager at the Barbican.
Commenting on the first anniversary she said: “Just over a year ago we saw a real opportunity to bring together various top quality venues within the City of London. There was immediate interest from 16 venues and we have gone from strength to strength ever since. In the course of the last year we have launched a website designed specifically for planners, added six new venues and made strategic partnerships with organisations such as the AIM accreditation scheme.”
