ISES launches mentor programme

The International Special Events Society (ISES) has launched an events industry mentor programme to support professional development across its membership.

Leading industry figureheads to offer their expertise under the scheme include Alan Newton, Global Supply Director, Grass Roots; Peter Kerwood, Marketing Director, Altitude London; David Hornby, Director, Why Not UK, and ISES President and Director at Imagination, Richard Foulkes (pictured).

ISES VP of Education and Bourne Collection’s Group Events and Marketing Manager, Val Brooks explains why ISES launched the programme: “Already a proven technique in American management, mentoring is gradually becoming seen in the UK as a highly useful and beneficial resource for career progression. ISES is an association that encourages education in the creative events sector and we are always looking for new ways for our members to be inspired. We believe the mentor scheme adds value to our membership services and encourages the share of best practice in our industry.”

A full listing of the mentors can be found on the ISES UK website.
