Home of BAFTA achieves record Q1 room hire

London event space 195 Piccadilly claims it has achieved record room hire sales for the first quarter of 2011, exceeding its target by 11 per cent between January and March.

During January alone, the home of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) charity saw a 67 per cent increase in room hire sales compared to 2010, while March saw a 24 per cent rise, resulting in the best room hire sales recorded for six years.

The venue says the majority of bookings were for conferences, annual general meetings and awards ceremonies. “We’re thrilled to achieve a record number of bookings and to exceed our sales targets,” said Head of Commercial Events at 195 Piccadilly, Jenny Bones.
