GTMC and Business Travel Market signs partnership

The Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) and UK trade exhibition Business Travel Market (BTM) have announced an official partnership for this year’s event at Excel London from 22 – 23 June 2011.

Founded in 1967, the GTMC’s members account for some 80 per cent of business travel spend in the UK and facilitate more than 11m transactions, including the sale of over six million airline tickets each year. “The synergy between GTMC and BTM is apparent and it made sense to formalise a partnership,” GTMC chief executive Anne Godfrey said. “Our members will receive added value from the agreement, with the GTMC visible to the 500 BTM VIP hosted buyers from all over Europe.”

BTM is now in its third year and its organiser claims it is the only UK-based industry event that offers a fully-hosted programme to qualifying corporate travel buyers from Europe. The organiser hopes to attract over 500 travel buyers and 4,000 attendees to this year’s show.
