Coca-Cola has signed on an official sponsor of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow.
The three-year sponsorship deal, which kicks off today, gives the drinks brand pouring rights across all event, conference and exhibition space. SECC CEO John Sharkey said the new partnership cemented the venue’s commitment to working with big brands and added clout to its image as a large-scale international events destination.
“Aligning ourselves with quality brands and securing this new sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola is very much part of our vision to position Glasgow and Scotland at the forefront of the global event and entertainment industry,” he said.
“The SECC is a perfect fit for our brand and we’re really looking forward to working with the SECC making sure visitors to the venue, whether there for a concert, conference or exhibition, enjoy our range of drinks,” Coca-Cola Enterprises regional director Alan Halliday added.
In February, the SECC appointed three new board members in preparation for the 2012 opening of the Scottish National Arena. These are: Peter Duthie (commercial director), Ben Goedegebuure (sales director), and Billy McFadyen (finance director).
