Conference and incentives company BI Worldwide has released half-year figures to 31 December 2010 showing the company on track to achieve its target of £400k profit before tax this year.
The company had experienced a major downturn in its events business, 2009-10, and underwent a significant restructure. However, BI reports turnover increased in events and incentives by more than 15 per cent in the first six months due partly to an increase in the number of conferences operated.
BI lists client wins and increased activity from companies including Chevrolet, Lexus and Toyota. BI has also confirmed its first London 2012 programme with a major Olympic sponsor.
BI Managing Director Mike Davies says: “After two very difficult years, it is very pleasing to see the changes that we’ve made to our business produce such positive results. This is testament to the commitment and hard work of our associates.”
BI has a network of 1,000 associates and is part of the US$400m US-based firm Schoeneckers.
