Imago and former Touchstone owner, David
Jones, have launched a joint venture to deliver a new
exhibition and conference for the human resources
The HR Performance event will
take place in the National Hall at London Olympia from 4 to 5 October and is
aimed at helping HR managers build better teams using techniques and strategies
from the sports industry.
The event is being organised by
Imago and Touchstone founder, David Jones, under the new Rock Media JV. Jones’
Touchstone business previously organised events for the Chartered Institute of
Personnel Development including its annual conference and HRD Week. His
exhibition industry credentials also include a stint as Blenheim Group
Imago MD Hugh Keeble said the
event format will be “content-heavy” and include keynote presentations as well
as 45 seminars based on six streams: Coaching; Going for Gold – Managing
Performance; Employee Engagement; Getting Basics Right; Talent ID and Research
and Innovation. These will be led by sporting personalities such as Sir Clive
Woodward and other motivational speakers. The upcoming 2012 London Olympic and
Paralympic Games was a contributing factor to the show’s format, Keeble said.
“We are delighted by the way
the sporting and HR worlds have reacted so positively to this idea,” Jones said
on behalf of Rock Media. “HR, management and leadership events have been very
dry in the past. HR Performance will invigorate this market with an exciting,
entertaining and educational two days.”
Personnel Today has partnered
with HR Performance as media sponsor.
Imago is also gearing up to run
its first Virtualisation Security exhibition and Cloud-Sec Conference at Excel
London in March.
