events industry association, Eventia, is set to run a series
of masterclasses at industry tradeshows in Europe throughout 2011.
The association says the
classes are designed to educate senior meetings and events professionals from
companies, agencies, associations and the public sector on using digital
platforms to create more effective events.
The first of such
classes will be held at UBM Live’s International Confex at Earls Court
London on 1 March 2011. Its
presenters will include the Global Strategic
Director at Active Network
Events, Anthony Miller and Director of Live Events at the UK
Government’s Central Office of Information
(COI), Simon Hughes. The pair will also present to IMEX visitors in Frankfurt in May.
“This is more than just
a seminar; it’s a survival kit for meetings and events professionals who
increasingly have to prove the business case for the events they plan and
organise,” said Miller.
