Drpgroup builds communications bridge to China

Communications and events
management company Drpgroup recently hosted leading Chinese film industry
representatives at a seminar and networking event at its Worcestershire HQ.

The event was held in
conjunction with the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA),
with the aim of building on ties between the UK corporate
visual communications industry and its Chinese counterparts.

Chinese companies XL Stobo,
China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation and Cultural and Creative
Industry Foundation and the China Image Film Festival sent speakers to discuss
collaboration with UK partners in the sector.

IVCA’s CEO Marco Forgione spoke
of the benefits to be had from the UK and Chinese communications
industries working in one of the world’s fastest growing marketplaces. He noted
IVCA had launched a number of trade missions to China and
hosted Chinese government officials in conjunction with the China-Britain
Business Council.

The
Drpgroup
is also sponsoring the newly-announced IVCA China Awards, which will form part
of the IVCA Award Ceremony 2011.

Drpgroup MD Dale Parmenter urged the whole
UK comms industry to get behind the
UK-China sector initiatives. “Holding events like this is an invaluable way for
both countries to gain an understanding of how the other approaches the same
issues of corporate communication and employee engagement,” he said.
