Lime Venue Portfolio’s The Oval rebrands as Kia Oval

Surrey County
Cricket Club has announced hospitality and event venue, The Oval, is to be
renamed as the Kia Oval. The
rebranding is part of a new sponsorship deal, which includes exclusive naming
rights, signed off by the cricket club in December with international car
manufacturer, Kia.

Lime Venue
has also increased the size
of its sales and marketing department
as it expects the “desirability of the iconic London venue for meetings and events to grow further during 2011, with
the heightened demand for unique venues caused in part by the Olympic Effect”.

Rebecca Hawksworth joins the sporting venue as Sales Manager, having moved from National Maritime
Museum, where she was Sales
and Marketing Manager and also a Board Member of marketing group, Unique Venues
of London. Denise Jefferies joins as Business
Development Manager, having moved
from Arsenal Football Club, where she was Meetings and Events Sales Manager.

“With the rebrand we have the ability to
reinvent the venue and its offering in the lead up to a busy 2011/12,” says
