Cambridge Colleges’ Charity Ball fundraising record

A masked ball, organised by Cambridge
Colleges’ Catering Managers to raise funds for two local charities, has raised a
record sum of £12,000.

The funds were raised at an Auction of
Promises and charity raffle at the event held recently at Queens’ College and attended by 260 people.

Arthur Rank House and the Cambridge
Children’s Fund are the two Cambridge charities which will
benefit.

Nick Milne, Conference and Catering Manager
at Robinson
College and a
member of the organising committee,
said he was “delighted” by the amount raised.

“The event would not be possible without the
great support from our wide range of suppliers who have donated goods and
services for the event, including the Auction of Promises which offered a
wonderful range of unique experiences people were able to bid for,” said
Milne.
