QHotels points the way with loyalty scheme

QHotels is investing £26,000 in a loyalty
scheme as part of its goal to
increase its share of the business transient market by 10 per cent in
2011.

The scheme, named
ThankQ Rewards, allows business travellers to notch up points that can be
exchanged for a number of rewards across the 21-property QHotels chain, including room upgrades, massage or for use against the next stay. It aims to
attract 5,000 members to the
scheme by June
2011.

“As a group we are recognised for our
conference and leisure product and less so for what we offer to the business
market, but we shouldn’t be overlooked,” says QHotels’ Group Sales Director,
David Taylor. “This investment shows
our commitment to rewarding people
who regularly stay and use our hotels.”

Taylor says
1,500 guests have already signed up to the reward scheme in the first month. Each user will have a
personalised login and dedicated microsite to keep track of obtained
points.
